There is no better way to describe traveling around Europe other than absolute enchantment. Every second of the travel I feel like a little kid with my face smashed against the car or plane window staring out just to take in everything I possibly can. Bode normally just sits and reads and laughs at me when I try to point out all the awesome things. I forget that he has seen all of this for the past 17 years. It's been incredible: flying over the French Alps and then down in between the snow and glacier covered mountains to the small landing strip in St. Moritz, driving through the valleys of Bolzano with terraced vineyards stretched up to the sky on either side soaking of the last of the evening sun, passing through all sorts of small towns lined with shops with window displays of their local crafts.....it's all so beautiful! The authenticism of every stone church, cobblestone road, corner market, and so many other things of the sort is so fresh and natural. It has so much character. So different from the concrete cities and strip malls we have created back in America. I'm not sure I want to go back.
